Kate first helped us during our initial move to Garden City from Manhattan in 2011. She helped us find a rental house so we could “test the waters”. We didn’t end up buying our home until four years later, so you can imagine the number of houses she showed us and the patience she had to exhibit! She was always positive, professional and most of all, unbelievably understanding. Kate really figured out what we liked (and didn’t like) and was open and honest. The fact that she grew up in town was a huge help as well! I would (and have) recommended her to anyone looking to buy or sell a home, she really treats everyone like family.

For my husband and myself, buying our first house, moving out of Brooklyn to Garden City and having school aged children was honestly the biggest leap of faith we've ever taken. I knew throughout the process how lucky we were to have Kate Crofton on our team. From her ability to understand our parameters to her confidence that we were purchasing a property that would continue to appreciate we knew she was the leader we need to navigating these waters. Our purchase needed an expedited close in order to have our children start school on time. Our complete ignorance in the buying process was never an issue as Kate was always one step ahead. Not only did she explain the process every step of the way but kept it rolling, getting us the answers and helping us build the team we needed to close on time and have it all run smoothly. I have so much respect for realtors and am so appreciative that we were able to work with Kate through this daunting process. If and when we are ready to upgrade we look forward to working with her again.

We couldn't be happier in our dream home and have Kate to thank for everything. Our first conversation was like instantly talking to a dear, old friend. Kate was extremely personable and professional and instantly got a strong sense of who we are as a family and what we would be looking for. Since she grew up in Garden City, Kate knew the town and homes so well and her love of the area was palpable. My husband and Kate toured throughout town until finding the most perfect home for our family, it was love at first sight. After a short bidding war, Kate negotiated the best price while securing our home at the same time. Working with her was an absolute dream, she made herself available to us throughout the entire process and has checked in on us and the house long after closing. Kate gave amazing references and recommendations for everything from major renovations to wallpaper. We love seeing her and her adorable family around town and couldn't thank her enough for helping us find our forever home.

Kate was always available to answer any of our questions and provided a wealth of knowledge about the homes and area. She handles herself in a very professional manner and was wonderful during this exciting and stressful time!
